If you're reading this, odds are you already own at least one of the movies included here. Review : Fox did the Caped Crusader proud
The key things to know about the DVD are:
1) The colors jump off the screen, it is a great transfer
2) The featurette with Adam West (Batman) and Burt Ward (Robin) is good, though they cover a lot of the same ground in the commentary
3) The Batmobile feature is very cool
4) The commentary is awesome. Adam and Burt have a great chemistry and really seem to love both the movie and the show. Their tongues are firmly in their cheeks druing the commentary (Adam West's views on Bruce Wayne alone are worth the price of admission), but you will learn about the production and such secrets as:
Why did ABC tear down the Batcave so quickly after cancellation?
What did Burt Ward really think about the BatCycle?
How and why did Lee Meriweather get to play Catwoman?
Why did Adam and Burt have to spend two hours each week getting oxygen at the Fox infirmary?
The team at Fox had a lot of love for this movie and it shows. Buy this DVD and get Fox to release...

Review : Best DC animated movie by far!
I highly recommend this film and want to point out some of the key positives without giving away the plot:
1. The animation quality is higher than previous DC animated movies. It is the best-looking DC animated movie since Mask of the Phantasm (it actually looks better). But besides that, the editing, use of shadows, and thoughtful camera angles give this movie the sense of being a "real" movie as opposed to merely being a long Saturday-morning cartoon. My 65 year old father said it best when he said "I forgot I was watching animation." That's a testament to the quality of the storytelling, voice-acting and the overall production value. Peter Weller (Robocop) deserves a lot of credit for playing an older Batman.
2. The running time for the Deluxe Edition is 2 hours. This means that the story is not rushed from one plot point to another. One of the big problems with other DC animated movies is that they are usually less than 75 minutes long, which makes them seem rushed and...

But this ain't exactly The Dark Knight Rises or Man of Steel; for one thing, these characters, good guys or bad, are irresistibly cute--especially when they're running on their stubby Lego legs. That doesn't mean director Jon Burton's film isn't exciting. It is. It's also a lot of fun, with hilarious voice acting, a funny script filled with gags to appeal to kids and adults alike, and appearances by a host of Marvel villains (the Penguin, the Riddler, Two-Face, Catwoman) and DC heroes (Wonder Woman, the Flash, Green Lantern). Best of all is the look of the movie--bright, colorful, beautifully rendered (depictions of water and light are especially good), with brilliant backgrounds. Add to that some very familiar music from the Batman (by Danny Elfman) and Superman (by John Williams) live action features, some nice bonus material (including three DC cartoons and a behind-the-scenes look at the animation process), a package that includes DVD, Blu-ray, and access to an UltraViolet digital version, and you have a package that's simply irresistible. --Sam Graham

Review : Great fun for the kids
If you have played the Lego Batman 2 game, the plot of this movie will be very familiar to you. In fact, its almost as if Traveler's Tales figured they could throw a game together on the cheap by re-using the cut scenes from the video game. Although its not a complete clone of the game, some scenes are re-edited and re-cut so they aren't exact, but they are close enough.

If you are over the age of 12, then there isn't a ton of stuff in this movie to interest you. There are some references to past Batman movie and TV incarnations and the recreation of the 1989 Tim Burton Batman movie opening from LEGO bricks is a classic. My kids watch the scene and yell out "The bat-symbol!" every time they watch it. There is also a scene where Superman hears the Richard Donner Superman film's theme and says "That music sounds familiar." To which Batman replies "I don't listen to music." I just about fell over when I found out that my kids don't instantly equate that tune with...
